The key to a great newborn session starts well before the session. I send my newborn session prep guide as soon as the session is booked. The guide goes over the session, what to expect, what to bring and how to prepare for the session. There is also a page dedicated to outfit suggestion for the entire family. When my clients arrive to the studio, they are ready to go.

All my newborn shoots include family and sibling photos. I like to start my sessions with family photos first and gently transition into sibling portraits. While the baby is always a focus of the newborn session, family and sibling photos are very important as well. Once we are done with the family part of the shoot, the baby takes the central stage. This part of the shoot usually includes 4-5 set ups for the baby that the parents have chosen from my studio prop collection. Baskets, blankets, wraps are all picked by the family:)
